Preparations are underway for the opening of Direct Conversion’s first technology showroom in Munich, where customers can come and discover for themselves the benefits of photon counting X-ray imaging.
The Application Innovation Centre will offer extensive test and demonstrate facilities as well as seminar and workshop opportunities to Direct Conversion’s global customer base.
General Manager, Eckhard Sperschneider (pictured above left with Dr York Haemisch), is overseeing the design of the Centre and the installation of the equipment that will be available for customer use, including industrial AXI system for high-speed applications and a universal CT-setup for medical and industrial feasibility studies. With Stage One of the project approaching completion before the July opening, Eckhard says,
“Photon Counting is a great technology with significant advantages in speed and sensitivity of X-ray imaging. The key focus of this new centre is to support our customers in using this technology in the right way”.
