Research: Development of a Spectral Micro-CT System using a Photon Counting Detector with Anti-Coincidence Corrections

- By Jacqueline Wheeler

A team at the Center for In Vivo Microscopy at the Department of Radiology, Duke University, assert that there is potential to improve CT imaging by adding spectral capabilities as given by photon counting detectors (PCD). Read their latest findings in a study which observes and assesses the performance of a new spectral micro-CT prototype system using our XC-Thor with 100-μm pixel size and benefitting from anti-coincidence corrections.
