Our direct conversion technology compared to scintillator indirect conversion technology. Achieving higher sensitivity and resolution with our proprietary CdTe-CMOS hybrid technology.
Converting X-ray photons directly into a charge is the key principle behind all Direct Conversion’s detector technology. Most X-ray detectors available on the market use an indirect conversion process, where the X-ray photons are first converted to visible light by means of a scintillator, which in turn requires a photodetector to convert the visible light to an electric charge. Direct conversion detectors directly convert X-ray photons to an electrical charge.
